Awesome Book,
We went for a hike in Forest Park and my daughter and son-inlaw had this book, they said we could borrow it, but it was so good that as soon as we got home I went online and ordered my very own. If you like to hike in Portland then I recommend you get this book. I really like that it has nature identification sections also. Real photos.

|If you EVER plan to hike in Forest Park you need this book!,
It’s already slightly out of date but it’s still an essential guide to Forest Park hiking. Through this book I found some of the most amazing sights within the city of Portland. I’d never have hiked some of those trails without the book to give me the confidence. After all, if the book shows the trail who am I to question its existence?

Forest Park is amazing. And besides being beautiful with 80 miles of trails, those who work with Portland Parks know it’s the only urban wilderness in the US. This book details the history of this great place, as well tells about all the plants and birds. And trails. I learned that this place has more native wildlife than any other city park in the country. Pretty cool. More people should learn about this gem. This book helps.
